group coaching

Group Coaching is a process that leverages the resources, experience and knowledge of a group of individuals working on a common theme or competency but with different individual performance goals.

Group Coaching can benefit organizations by, increasing team functioning and maturity, developing leadership and management capability, fostering a culture of ongoing learning, promoting peer collaboration, and optimizing goal accomplishment at the personal, group and organizational levels.

It can also help to break down silos, develop and improve processes, services and products, integrate professional development and performance and positively impact the bottom line.

team coaching

Team Coaching is a relatively new practice that focuses on the importance of a common goal, group collaboration and performance , increasing collective capability, as well as the importance of thinking and working together as a integrated unit. It helps teams work together, to create lasting change by developing safe and trusting relationships, better ways of working and new thinking, so that they maximize their collective potential, purpose and performance goals.

The key difference between Group and Team coaching can be explained as ‘the coaching of individuals within a group context’, whereas in Team coaching ‘the primary client is the whole team, rather than the individual team members’

Team coaching can be used to coach any team that fits the definition of a team – be it senior leadership, functional, cross-functional, client, temporary, project or virtual.
